She was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Faye Polk Saunders and Stanley Madison Saunders. During her life she owned Palace Drug, Studio Northwest and Techna Three in Fayetteville; a paint contracting business in Tulsa, Okla.; and Lambrusco'z Catering, now Lambrusco'z To-Go Deli and Catering Market, until retiring in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Neil Bruce Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Lamer; two sons, Joseph Neil Bruce Jr. and Randy Bruce; a daughter, Nancy Bruce; a brother, Wallace "Bud"Saunders of Elkins; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
There will be a celebration of Roxie's life at 5 p.m. today at the home. Arrangements are through Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, Okla., (918 ) 252-2518. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
