Newsome; step-daughter, Jeanette Hunt; step-son, Robert Flatt; grandsons, Ryan and Justin Schlichting; granddaughter, Melanie Grammer; step-grandson, Ari Schlichting; great-granddaughters, Autumn, Summer and Cheyenne Grammer; nephew, David Newsome and caregiver and dearest friend, Kristi Blankenship. Mason Eckles "Bubba" Hunt was a man of many talents and gifts, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, pilot. artist, stone carver, history buff, avid traveler, inventor...the list is long and winding. He was a lifelong student of many and varied interests and he worked tirelessly to develop the generous
gifts God gave him.
Bubba was born on Tuesday, February 11, 1930 in Bergs Mill, to Curtis R. and Cam'e I. Hunt. He left this life for a better one on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 3:47 a.m. Bubba left behind family and friends who mourn his loss but choose to celebrate the wonderful life he created and shared with them. Bubba was one of the founders of San Antonio Geronimo Air Park. He is the recipient of the Wright Brothers "Master Pilot" Award, July 2013.
His family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 4-6 pm. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South 1700 SE Military Drive. Funeral Services will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014. The Patriotic Guard will escort Bubba to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for a 21-Gun Salute in honor of his service to our country. A reception will immediately follow at the Fort Sam Houston Golf Course.

A funeral service was conducted Friday May 23 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel, Lake Isabella for Bobby Lynn Greenwood of Bakersfield, formerly a resident of Bakersfield and Kernville. Rev. James S. McGhee, Pastor of the United Methodist Church, Kernville officiated. Mr. Greenwood passed may May 20 in Tulare County.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Greenwood. Bakersfield; parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Greenwood of Kernville; sons Greg of Denver, Colorado and John at Bakersfield; daughter Terry of Bakersfield; sisters Patty Nagle of Weldon and Sharon Lantsberger of Kernville. Bobby Lynn Greenwood came to California in 1949 and attended elementary school in Johnsondale and graduated from Kern Valley High School. He served with the U.S. Navy in the 1960 and has resided in Bakersfield for the past 15 years. Born April 7, 1942, in Silver City, New Mexico. Bobby Lynn Greenwood age 44.
