John R. Enos Jr., 79, Passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007, in Stockton, California. Before John retired he was a Mechanic for Mid Cal John Deere in Stockton for over 20 years. John loved birds, his hobby was raising and selling Cockatiels, He enjoyed his Airedale dogs. To remember John is to remember him as a quiet gentle person who was an amazing listener. He was am incredible husband, father, and grandfather, who will be deeply missed. john was married to Cora A Enos since 1949.
Children: Deborah Wilson and her husband Dwight of Manteca; Alice Smith and her husband Art of Manteca; Richard Enos of Stockton, Siblings Mildred Nugent and her late husband Bob of Stockton; Carl Enos and Vickie of Texas; Sister-in-Law, Beth Parker and her late husband Willard of Stockton, Brother-in-Law, Ernest Wilson and Sister-in-Law, Nora Wilson of Manteca, Grandchildren: Cari James of Manteca; Jason and wife Kristy Smith of Lodi; Jeri and husband Joe Tejeda of Manteca; Eric and wife Lizette Smith of Stockton, Great Grandchildren: seven and one on the way.

1731- John Grantlin is appointed surveryor of the road from Fine Creek to Solomon's Creek in Goochland Co. and it is ordered that the Titheables of Daniel Stoner, Daniel Johnson, John Cox, Frederick Cox, JOSEPH JOHNS, Isaac Hughes, Nicholas Wilkinson and all other within that neighborhood do assist in clearing the said roads.
1734- JOSEPH JOHNS was granted 400 acres on the south side of the James River, adjoining Charles Railey and William Reynolds.

In the name of God, amen. The thirteenth day of January in the year of our
Lord 1775 Joseph Jons of Sant James Southam in the county of Cumberland
being very sick and weake in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be
given unto God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and
knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die to make and ordain this
my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I
give and recommend my soul into the Lands of God that gave it and for my
body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christianlike and decent
manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General
Resurection I shall receive this amiagan (?) by the mighty Jesus (?) of God
and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath please God to bless me
in this life I give desire and dispose of the same in the following manner

1750- ROBERT JOHNS was named in the Last Will and Testament of Alexander Trent II (recorded in Cumberland Co., VA 1750.) In the Trent will, Robert Johns appeared as an overseer or manager of one of Trent's plantations.
