On April 29, 1940, Raymond was born to Arthur J. Jordan and Effie L. (Abbott) Jordan in Visalia, CA. He attended Redwood High School in Visalia, CA. Raymond enlisted in the United States Airforce, in Oakland, California, on 10 Jul 1957, and later transferred to the US Army Corps (36 Artillery). He was honorably discharged on 9 Jul 1963. During his military service, he was awarded a Military Overseas Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert (Rifle) Certification, and Sharpshooter (Carbine) Certification.
He was a member of The Midway Assembly of God Church. Raymond was the beloved husband of Lela (Powell) Jordan, whom he married on July 30, 1960, in Ivanhoe, CA. As a result of their happy union, they had five children that he adored more than anything. Prior to retirement, Raymond worked in Mechanics, an Electrician, and as a Carpenter. He was an active member of the NRA and the Carpenters Union Organization.
A lover of nature, Raymond enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and hosting family get-togethers. He enjoyed working on carpentry and mechanics. He never met a stranger and his approach to people was to help in any way possible. Those things came from a humbled heart with gifts of compassion that are more than learned behaviors. They were characteristics of Raymonds nature; his heart was for service, and his life was dedicated to being the best man for his family. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, not only by his family and friends, but by all those blessed enough to have known Raymond.
SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Raymonds are his loving wife, Lela Jordan; children: Rickie Jordan (Maria), Clayton Jordan (Chrisney), Kathy Breedyk, David Jordan (Tina), Joseph Jordan (Deidra); seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; siblings: Patricia C. Powell, and James LF Johnson; and too many friends to list.
PRECEDED: Preceding Raymond in death: his parents, Arthur J. Jordan and Effie L. (Abbott) Jordan; grandparents: Pete Jordan, and Fannie Jordan (Giton); and brother, Loyd EW Johnson.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Chosen to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Erik Washburn, Jared Lowas, Kyle Costa, Justin Jordan, Victor Mingus, and Steeler Jordan.

Dan was born in Hollister, CA to Manuel and Mary Avilla and has lived in Stevinson, CA since 1934. Attended Merquin Elementary and Hilmar High School. Served in the US Army from 1945-46 at Camp Beale AFB near Marysville, CA. Shortly after returning home from service he met his future wife Lula Garvin.
Dan is survived by his wife of 65 years Lula (Garvin) Avilla. Also surviving are four sons, Randy (Suzie), Rodney (Norma), Roger and Russ. They have six grandsons, Travis, Jim, Ross, Bob, Trent, and Taylor. Four granddaughters, Corinne, Kelly, Becky, and Leslie. Six great-grandsons, Tyler, Adrian, Eli, Alex, Levi, and Tyge.
Dan was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Surviving sisters are Gertie Silveira of Stevinson, CA, and Jessie (Dolly) Silveira of Merced, CA.
Dan worked at Carnation Can Plant, Gustine for 34 years and Silgans in Stockton for 4 years before retiring in 1989. Dan played guitar in the Gulart Brothers band for several years. He also composed music and wrote songs. He loved photography and won several contests while working at Carnation Can Plant.
Dan was a volunteer fireman for the Stevinson Fire Department for several years. He belonged to the American Legion Stevinson Post and later to the Turlock Post. He was also a Hilmar Boosters Club member and office holder. He was a coach and summer baseball leader. He loved to ride his motorcycle and go on Poker runs. Dan loved to hunt (gun and bow) and all types of fishing. For several years he had a houseboat at Lake McClure, but most of all he loved to play his guitar and sing when his family got together at his oldest brothers house to honor a brother or sister with a party. He also wrote a song for them.
In the 1950s he ran a card room and pool hall in Stevinson, and also ran a feed store with his brother Stan. Dan and his wife loved to dance and followed a band for over a decade called Shades of Country; he was occasionally invited to sit in with them.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 A.M. in the LODI FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi. Internment Cherokee Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph's Hospital Cancer Fund, 1800 N. California St., Stockton or to the Faith Christian School for the Blind, P.O. Box 1048, Green Valley, Arizona.

Survivors: wife, Donna R. Avilla; children, Mary Gale, Rhonda Franke and Dan Avilla, all of Manteca; siblings, Grace Weeks of Gait, Elaine Camper of Manteca, Gertrude Silveira and Dan Avilla, both of Stevinson, and Jesse Silveira of Merced; seven grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren.
