Her obit in the May 31, 1956 Pryor "Jeffersonian" newspaper indicated she was born near Mena, Arkansas, married Dr. John R. BEGGS and they had three children. Dr. BEGGS and one child died and she moved to Coweta, Wagoner Co., OK in 1906 and married Charles McCLEERY. They had six children. Three later died. The McCLEERYs moved to Salina, Mayes Co. and then to Pryor, Mayes Co., OK.
From the obit: "The survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Meberg; Enid; Mrs. Tina McCarty and Mrs. Jessie Moore, both of Pryor; Mrs. Gladys Gordon, Kansas City, Kans; two step-daughters, Mrs. Edna Henry, Greeley, Colo.; Mrs. Nola Alvis, Ada; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Burns, Wetumka; Mrs. Sallie Harmon, Sand Springs; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren."

Mary E. M'Cleery Burial Rites Held
Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McCleery, 82, 25 South Pine at Pryor, who died
at her home Saturday morning May 26, following a long illness were held Monday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Assembly of God church with Rev. George Newby
pastor officiating.
Mrs. McCleery was born near Mena, Ark., and was married to Dr. John R. Beggs.
To this union three children were born. Dr. Beggs and one child died while the
family lived in Arkansas.
She moved to Oklahoma in 1906 and located at Coweta where she was married to
her second husband, Charles E. McCleery. They became the parents of six
children, three of whom are living. The McCleery family moved to Mayes county
and located near Salina in 1910 and then moved to the vicinity of Pryor.
McCleery died in Pryor.
Mrs. McCleery was a member of the Holiness church.
The survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Meberg; Enid; Mrs. Tina
McCarty and Mrs. Jessie Moore, both of Pryor; Mrs. Gladys Gordon, Kansas City,
Kans; two step-daughters, Mrs. Edna Henry, Greeley, Colo.; Mrs. Nola Alvis,
Ada; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Burns, Wetumka; Mrs. Sallie Harmon, Sand Springs;
26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Alberty cemetery under direction of Green funeral home of
Pryor.
