Chatman, both of San Angelo, and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Roy Dan Bilberry, 23, of Ponder, formerly of Spur, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bethel Baptist Church. Jim Palmer officiated, assisted by Rev. Dennis Bennett of Milsap.
Bilberry, a graduate of Spur High School, died in Flow Memorial Hospital, Denton, of injuries received a week earlier when he was gored by a bull. He was a veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was employed a A-1 Custom Freezing Center at Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Ponder; one daughter, Renee DAnn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Bilberry, Spur; three brothers, B.W. Petaluma, CA; Jerry and Ronnie, both of Spur; three sisters; Carol Ann Wyatt, and Connie and Barbara Bilberry, all of Spur; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Futch, Spur, and E.J. Bilberry, Ralls.

Services were at 10 a.m. December 7, at the Southwest Park Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Woodard, officiating. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. in Spur Memorial Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, Abilene.
Born in Spur, she graduated from school here in 1945. She attended Howard County Junior College in Big Spring and Cisco Junior College in Abilene.
She worked at the Abilene National Bank for two years, at the First State Bank in Abilene Independent School District and was employed with them at the time of her death.
Mrs. Bilberry was a member of the Southwest Park Baptist church and taught Sunday School and was superintendent of the Nursery Department. She was a member of the Ora Negra Chapter of the Abilene Business Womens Association and served as president in 1985. In 1986 she was named Woman of the Year by the chapter and was currently serving as treasurer.
Survivors include her husband, Weldon Bilberry, Abilene; four sons, Michael Lee Bilberry of Menlo park, CA; James Lynn Bilberry of Lumberton; Ronald Keith Bilberry, Lubbock and Robert Lance (Bobby) Bilberry of Abilene; two brothers, Chester Norman, McAlpin of Abilene and W.V. McAlpin of Sudan; her mother, Mary McAlpin of Spur and eight grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy of Lubbock; a daughter, Candy Carroll of Lubbock; his father, Loyd of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.

M. James Franke
Monroe James Franke was born on November 5, 1937 at home in Winchester, Texas to Traugott and Tillie Franke. He grew up in Winchester all his life, attending parochial school at St. Michaels until 8th grade, then helped his family and worked on the farm until the age of 18 when he joined the United States Air Force, sewing his country from 1960 to 1965, where he received his GED as well as an honorable discharge. In 1967 he met and married his McGee of Smithville, with whom he shared 43 years of his life and was blessed with three daughters.
During his life, James, or "Fox" as he was known to his childhood friends, was a kind and gentle man who loved his Lord, loved his family and loved football. He worked for Harris Electric, Marhil Manufacturing and Cen-Tex Marine as a machinist before retiring in 1997. In addition, he worked in the family business, Crafts from the Kitchen Table, making crafts and selling them at different fairs around the state. He had story for every place he'd been and it was rare to meet someone who didn't have a piece of his handiwork in their home. James was a strong Christian and his faith was his rock and strength. He was an active memeber as well as elder at Grace Lutheran Church in Smithville for over 35 years, before making his home at Vineyard of Christ in Rosanky where he was a founding member. A quiet man at first but once you got to know him, he could keep you smiling with his contagious laughter and genuine smile and his ability to tell the same story over and over again.
James met Jesus face to face on October 8, 2011 at the age of 73 years 11 months 4 days, and was preceded in death by his parents Traugott and Tillie Franke of Winchester. He is survived by his wife Iris; three daughters, Gina Franke of Smithville; Coleen Smiley and husband Benny of Smithville; Jamie Franke of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin; one grandson, who was his pride and joy, Richard Smiley of Smithville; two sisters, Ann Schroeder and husband Johnny of Smithville; Charlene Franke of Winchester; one brother, Raymond "R.C." Franke of Winchester; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Imajean McGee of Smithville; sister-in-law Janis Lehmann and husband Maclyn of Winchester; brother-in-law, Steve McGee and wife Debbie of Nacogdoches, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, at All Faiths of the Pines Chapel in Smithville.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, at All Faiths of the Pines Chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville.

Bilberry, 49 Died: Wednesday, March 23, 2011, in Austin, Texas Gary Mark Bilberry, known as Mark was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, hunting and fishing partner and friend to many. Mark passed away early Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011. He was 49 years young. Mark was born August 18, 1961, to Sharon Bilberry Peters and Harold Royce Bilberry, in Austin, Texas. He was a graduate of Austin High School and a lifelong resident of South Austin. Mark managed property for R.L. Struhall and Company for 25 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades and was generous in helping others. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking his harvest. In his younger days Mark spent many a weekend camping, trail-riding and sitting around shooting the breeze with family and friends. Mark passionately loved his wife and children. Mark's family and friends and all he met loved him for his stories, jokes, quick smile and generosity Mark had a successful heart transplant on October 17, 2003, at Seton Central in Austin, Texas. He learned that life was a precious gift and he enjoyed living each day. Marks family wishes to thank the heart transplant team and Seton Central ICU nurses and staff for the excellent care in 2003 and recently Mark is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen Denise Wolff Bilberry; son Joshua Sean and daughter Leane Nicole, and his beloved dog, Maggie. FLOYDADA - Services for John Speer 76. of Floydada will be at 10 am Tuesday, Nov. 11, at first Baptist Church of Flomot with Rev, Nathan Mulder officiating, Burial will be in Flomot Cemetery under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
Mr. Speer passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at his residence in Floydada.
He was born Feb. 4, 1927, to Joe and Effie Speer in Flomot, where he was raised. He graduated from high school in Flomot in 1944 and from Texas Tech with a Bachelor's in Business in 1952. A veteran of the US Army, he served in World War II and Korea. He married Joyce Bilberry on Oct, 16, 1969, in Flomot. and they moved to Floydada in 1971. He was a retired rural mail carrier and farmer. He enjoyed gardening fishing, neighbors and friends. He was a member of the VFW and first Baptist Church in Flomot.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. Melva Jo Speer and Alice Montoya Survivors include his wife, Joyce Speer of Floydada; a son, Bill Turbyfill of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Kay Nicoley and husband Ray of Tucumcarl, N.M.; two brothers, Walt Speer and wife Many, and Raymond Speer and wife Dorothy; a sister, Jimmie Hunter and husband Wayne; two grandchildren: two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mary Dobbs, for about thirty years a resident of Dickens County, passed away at the family home in Dickens yesterday morning, June 14, soon after seven o'clock, an heart attack having been termed by the attending physician as the cause of death.
Mrs. Dobbs suffered a primary attack Tuesday afternoon, but did not succumb until the early hour yesterday.
Mrs. Dobbs is the mother of six children but the names of all were not available here last night. Her husband preceded her in death 10 years ago.
