Jettie Arnold, 93, of Spur died Sunday, March 12, 2006. Services were 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Spur with Rev. Rory Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Arnold was born September 10, 1912 in Lea County, NM to Fred and Augusta Knutson Grice. She married Jessie Arnold Oct. 6, 1929 in Lovington, NM. They moved to Nevada in 1939, coming back to Texas in 1947.
Jessie preceded her in death in 1985. She later married Elmer Bilberry. He preceded her in death in 1989. Jettie was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Spur. She was a woman of great talent. Her culinary, quilting, sewing, gardening and arts and crafts skills were well known by those who loved her. She delighted in her children and grandchildren, and never said no to a request for help of any kind.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Arnold; her parents; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 2 half-brothers; 4 step-brothers; and one step-sister.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by three daughters, Perla Mays of Jayton, Betty Beadle of Merkel and Alice Kidd of Spur; two sons, Jimmy Arnold and Donnie Arnold both of Spur; two step-daughters, Ozell Irby and Gayle Stowe both of Lubbock; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family gives special thanks to the caregivers at Dickens County Nursing Home who gave her such dedicated love and care.

Marlene was born on June 25, 1931 in Waukegan, Illinois to T.O. and Birdie Lee Buckland. She attended high school in Midland, TX. She married Cecil O'Dell in 1947. She was a co-owner and hairstylist at M&M Beauty Salon for twenty-five years prior to her retirement. After Cecil's death in 1991 she married Weldon Bilberry in 1995, they were married for nine years prior to his death in 2005. She was a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church, the Rock Club, the Iris Club, and the Big Country Pond Association. She always enjoyed her time with the senior citizen group or at her home just playing games and laughing together.
Marlene is survived by daughter, Glenda Towell and husband Carrol of Mineola, TX; son, Gary O'Dell of Abilene; five grandchildren, Angel Landry and husband Glenn of Abilene, Brad Fielder and wife Tracy of Fort Stockton, Jennifer Turner and husband Brad of Humble, April Byrd and husband Craig of Beardstown, TN, Justin Towell and wife Bethany of Euless; one sister, Sandra Olson and husband Curtis; one brother, Gaylen Buckland and wife Nancy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil O'Dell; husband, Weldon Bilberry; one brother, Lowell Buckland; and one sister, Patsy Harris.

Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brawley. The Rev. Ben Davison will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date.
Mrs. Titsworth was born Oct. 28, 1913, in El Paso.
She graduated from Loretta Academy in El Paso and Texas College Mines (now Texas A&M). She received a bachelor's degree and her teaching credentials from San Diego State University on June 18, 1937.
She married Phillip Titsworth in El Paso on Dec. 27, 1939.
Mrs. Titsworth taught locally at Hidalgo Elementary School in Brawley and later worked as a literacy volunteer for several years.
When her children were grown, Mrs. Titsworth resumed teaching as a substitute at the elementary school level.
After her husband's death in 1972, she became a real estate agent with Albert H. Smith Real Estate in Brawley.
She was active in the community, being a member of Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society, Del Rio Country Club, Desert Quilters Guild and a member of the Pioneers Memorial Hospital auxiliary.
She was an avid contract bridge player and taught the game to anyone who shared her passion. She also was an avid quilter and participated in many local quilt shows.
According to family, her quilts will be treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip L. Titsworth, on Feb. 22, 1972; and son, Stephen Titsworth on Aug. 15, 1987.
Survivors include her daughters, Joan Williams of Brawley and Kathleen Bilberry of Central Point, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Ann Titsworth of Saugus; and eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests donations be sent to Sacred Heart School, 428 S. Imperial Ave., Brawley, CA 92227, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Glen Gentry, 91 of Tracy died Friday, October 20. 2006 in his home. Born in Decatur, Texas to Edward and Lula Mae Gentry, Mr. Gentry lived in Decatur until he was stationed in Guadalcanal as a Navy CB during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1946 he moved to Tracy where he lived for 60 years. He retired from Purity Store as the Manager or the meat department after over 30 years of service. He then took on a second career at Sutter Tracy Hospital as a master cabinet builder where he retired 21 years later at age 86. Glen was a quiet, gentle man who always found a way to help others. He was a beloved husband, a great dad and a wonderful grandfather. He will be remembered for his generosity and his humility. Glen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hilda Gentry of Tracy; son, Robert Gentry and his wife, Valerie of Tracy; daughter, Glenda Mathes and her husband, John of Albuquerque, New Mexico; granddaughter, Lauren Gentry of Campbell, California; grandson, Shaun Gentry of Tracy and granddaughter, Kayia Mathes of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be observed from 10:00 a.m. - noon, both at Fry's Memorial Chapel of Tracy, 550 S. Central Ave. Interment will be at the Tracy Cemetery.

Born Sept. 30, 1919, in Midway - once a small village in the hills west of Tracy - she was a homemaker and community volunteer.
Mrs. Gentry was a parishioner of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and a volunteer catechism teacher for 30 years. She was a "pink lady" at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital for many years.
Survivors include a son, Bob Gentry, and his wife, Valerie, of Tracy; a daughter, Glenda Mathes, and her husband, John, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Glen Gentry, a retired meat department manager who died in 2006; a brother, Manuel Costa; and a sister, Emily Soares.
Monday's services will begin at 10 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road.
Visitation will be observed from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, preceding the service.
The family prefers contributions in Mrs. Gentry's name be made to the Alzheimer's Research Center, 640 Jackson St., St. Paul, MN 55101.

Obituary for Hilda Olivia Gentry
Hilda O. Gentry, 92, of Tracy passed away at Astoria Gardens on October 22, 2011, in Tracy, CA. Hilda was born on September 30, 1919, in Midway, CA, and had lived in the Tracy area for 84 years.
Hilda was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and was a catechism teacher for 30 years. Mom was also a volunteer Pink Lady for many years at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and hosting dinner parties for her friends and had a great sense of humor.
Hilda is survived by her children Bob Gentry and his wife Valerie of Tracy and Glenda Mathes and her husband John of Albuquerque, NM, and her grandchildren Kayla Mathes of Albuquerque, NM, Lauren Gentry of San Jose, CA, and Shaun Gentry of Tracy. She was preceded in death
by her husband Glen Gentry in 2006, her brother Manuel Costa and her sister Emily Soares.
Visitation for Hilda will be Monday, October 31, 2011, from 9:00am to 10:00am at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy, CA 95376. A Chapel Service will begin at 10:00am Monday, October
31, 2011, also at Fry Memorial Chapel; final resting place will be at Tracy Public Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road, Tracy, CA 95376.
