Jesse Jackson Burns, age 95, of Pampa, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997.
Born March 2, 1901 in Sims, Arkansas, his family later moved to Oklahoma. He married Goldie Keys November 12, 1936 in Pocasset, OK where they lived until 1950. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1996. In 1950, they moved to Quail with their four younger children.
Mr. Burns farmed in the Quail area until his retirement. He has been a resident of Pampa since 1974. He was active in the Assembly of God Church in Wellington and then later became a member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Pampa.
Survivors include four sons: Herman Burns of Madera, CA; Jesse Burns of Flatonia; Herschel Burns of Pampa and Dwight Burns of Plainview; Two daughters: Rachel Bartlett of Stockton, CA and Doralean Darnell of Amarillo; one step-son, Bob Hudson of Mack, CO; Three brothers: Elmer Burns of Lathrop, CA; Leonard Burns of Cement, OK and Tally Bums of Chickasha, OK; A sister, Lona Daniels of Shafter, CA; 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Burns and nine brothers.

Talley A. Burns was born May 31, 1907, in Quinton, Oklahoma, the son of William David and Alice (Bradburn) Burns, and died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Mr. Burns lived in the Pocasset and Chickasha areas since 1928.
He and Nina Walton were married, and she preceded him in death in 1969.
Mr. Burns was a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by 12 brothers, 1 sister and 1 son, Frankie Boycott.
Survivors include: 1 son and his wife: Richard and Fritzi Burns of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 1 daughter and her husband: Oleta and Jim Walker of Chickasha, Oklahoma; daughterinlaw: Mildred Boycott of DeRidder, Louisiana: 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Elmer J burns, 88 of Lathrop died Sunday in a convalescent hospital. Mr. Burns war born in Sawsakwa, Okla., He lived in Lathrop for 54 years. Mr. Burns owned Bob's Market in Stockton for 10 years before retiring in 1975. He also owned Burns Texaco Station in Manteca for seven years.

Leonard Jonah Burns
CEMENT - Funeral for Leonard Jonah "L.J." "Pedro" Burns, 88, Cement, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cyril Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bob Settle officiating. Mr. Burns died Sunday at a Chickasha hospital.
Burial will be at Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home, Chickasha. He was born on Sept. 23, 1912, in Russellville to William David and Alice Arizona Bradburn Burns. He moved to Pocasset as a young man where he helped out with the family farm. He married Flora Mae Wright on Sept. 20, 1941. in Anadarko. They were residents of Cement for 57 years. He was an employee of Public Service Company of Oklahoma for 20 years. He retired in 1976. He was
also a veteran of the 306th Training Group Air Corps, Sheppard Fields, Texas.
Survivors include his wife of the home; seven children: Geraldine Baker, Cement; Monetha and Bruce Justice, Apache; Charlie and Tanya Burns, Devol; Anna Mae Fulton, Cement; David and Vicki Burns, Cyril; Dovie and John Thompson, Marlow; and Bill Burns, Chickasha; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Talley Burns, Chickasha; and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, eleven brothers, a sister, a grandson, John Jeffrey Heritage III, Cement; a great-grandson, Colton Burns, Cyril; a son-in-law Butch Fulton, Cement.

Fora Mae Burns
Funeral services for Flora Mae Burns, 79 of Cement, were held Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at 1:30 pm in the First Assembly of God Church, Cyril, with Rev. Ralph Davis officiating.
Internment was in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, under the direction of Ferguson's Funeral Home, Chickasha.
Pallbearers were: Charlie Burns, David Burns, Bill Burns, John W. Thompson, Jeff Williams, and Curtis Baker.
Honorary pallbearers were Michial Baker, Christian Webb, Butch Fulton, David Law and Mark Fulton.
Flora Ida Mae (Wright) Burns, known to family and friends as Flora Mae, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 27, 2002. She passed away at Baptist Medical Center in OKC.
She was born January 23, 1923 in Lona Valley, Haskell County, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Oren Wright and Willie Ann Copeland Wright. She married Leonard Jonah "L.J." "Pedro" Burns on September 20, 1941, in Anadarko. From this union seven children were born, Geraldine Baker, Cement; Monetha and Bruce Justice, Apache; Charlie and Tanya Burns, Devol; Anna Mae Fulton, Cement; David and Vickie Burns, Cyril; Dovie and John Thompson, Marlow; and Bill Burns, of Chickasha.
She was a homemaker for 58 years and a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her spirit and loving heart will be missed by many.
She was prceded in death by her husband, L.J., both parents, two brothers, four sisters, one grandson, Jeffrey Heritage, III, on great-grandson, Colton Burns, and son-in-law, Henry "Butch" Fulton.
Survivors include her seven children; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Myra June Ladd, 69, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 in Duncan. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Bethel Assembly of God, with Rev. Ron Meador and Rev. William Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Myra was born Friday, Oct. 9, 1942, in Marlow, to Richard and Imogene (Kendall) Stinnett. She was a life-long resident of the Marlow area and graduated from Marlow High School in 1960. On Aug. 25, 1961, Myra married Ronnie D. Ladd at Central High Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2010.
Myra loved being with her family and having family gatherings. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and traveling. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Duncan. Her church was a very important part of who she was. Myra was a loving wife to Ronnie and a wonderful mother to their girls, Renee and Sheryl. Our mother had a good heart, always thinking of others. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include, two daughters, Renee Plemons, of Chickasha, and Sheryl Francis and husband, Matt, of Anadarko; five grandchildren, Brad Plemons, Jennifer Plemons, Clint Owen, Samantha Owen and Jackson Francis; two great-grandchildren, Ethen Plemons and Caleb Plemons; a brother, Richard Stinnett and wife, Peggy, of Bray; two sisters, Fay Sweat and husband, Calvin, of Duncan, and Kathy Gibson and husband, Rick, of Mt. View; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Myra was also preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Terrell, Dennis Sweat, Matt Francis, Clint Owen, Randy Lovett and Brad Plemons.

Ronnie was born Thursday, September 24, 1942 in Lawton, OK, to Dalton Ladd and Helen Louise (Tullous) Ladd. Ronnie graduated from Central High School and was a resident of Stephens County all of his life. He married Myra Stinnett at the Central High Baptist Church on August 25, 1961. Ronnie was a welder at Halliburton for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved going to garage sales. Ronnie enjoyed visiting with his friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a great time with his Thursday Breakfast Club friends. He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Duncan.
Survivors include, wife, Myra, of the home, 2 daughters, Renee' Plemons of Chickasha, OK, Sheryl Francis and husband Matt of Anadarko, OK, 5 grandchildren, Brad Plemons, Jennifer Plemons, Clint Owen, Samantha Owen, Jackson Francis, 2 great grandchildren, Ethen Plemons, Caleb Plemons, sister, Judy Graham and husband Glenn of Raeford, N.C., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Clopton.
Pallbearers will be: Randal Lovett, Marvin Terrell, Ray Hale, Gerald Morris, L.D. Smith, Derrol Young, and J.R. Webb.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.
