Carl was born Nov. 26, 1953, in Fort Worth, to Billy Joe Croy and Dorthy Nell Royalty Croy. Carl never met a stranger and everyone knew when he entered the room. He would have all the girls eating out of his hand. He was the life of the party.

OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Thursday, 7 May 1981: Mrs. Howell
Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Howell, 75, of Elkhart, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with the Mrs. Otis Felton officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart.
Mrs. Howell died today in Park Place Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 5, 1905, a daughter of the late J. H. Kirkwood and Elizabeth Lively Kirkwood.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Scott and Mrs. Lennie Hollingsworth, both of Elkhart and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Parker, Tony Rodosto, Larry Trim, Jack Fincher, Carl Kirkwood and J. O. Belt.

Alex was born in Anderson Co, TX to William A. and Fannie Glenn. His parents are buried in Old Pilgrim Cemetery. He shares a stone with his wife, Jennie L. Howell Glenn, who she married 6 April 1902 in Anderson County.
OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Monday, 5 January 1970: Alex Glenn
Alex Neighbor Glenn died Monday in a local nursing home, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hassell & Foster Chapel, with the Rev. Murray Mathis and the Rev. Otis Felton officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Elkhart.
Mr. Glenn was born January 16, 1879 in Anderson County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Glenn. He was married to the late Mrs. Jennie Howell Glenn, who died December 12, 1965. A lifelong resident of Anderson County, he was a retired foreman for the state Highway Department, and a member of the Elkhart Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be H. L. McCracken, Francis Huffman, L. J. Huffman, Dale Holloway, W. A. Howard, and Francis Day. All friends of the family are named as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include one son, Vernon Glenn, of San Antonio; three daughters, Mrs. C. D. Fryar and Mrs. Lee Weatherford, both of Palestine, and Mrs. E. L. Self of Elkhart; one granddaughter, Mrs. Ernest Tullos of San Antonio; four great-grandchildren.
