Gilmore Rites
Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore were held from the Bryson Church of Christ at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Wayne Baze, pastor, and Bud Hales of Jacksboro as the officiating ministers.
Hawkins Funeral Home was in charge and burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Pall bearers for Mrs. Gilmore were Gene McAnear, George Horton, Corky Simpson, Lewis Kirk, Herbert Glazner, Bennie Little.
Serving as pall bearers for Barnie Gilmore were Glenn Henderson, john D. Walden, George Kinder, Jack Hull, Carl Smith and James Ranspot.
Mary Jane Garner was born Oct. 31 1927 in Iowa Park, the daughter of Keith and Katherine Clayton Garner. She was married to Barnie C. Gilmore Jr. on Jan. 2 1947 in Jacksboro.
Five children survive the couple. They are Barnie Cecil Gilmore III, 19 Jerry Keith, 17 Gayle Garner, 15, Lauren Kay, 14 and Janis Cheryl, 12.
Also surviving Mrs. Gilmore are her parents of Jacksboro; and here brother, Edward Garner of Amarillo.
Barnie C. Gilmore was born Jan. 9, 1928 at Graford, the son of B. C. and Florence Perkins Gilmore. He was an oil operator.
His survivors include his parents, who are moving Jermyn to Bryson; a sister, Mrs. M. L. Williams of Kansas City, Kansas; a brother John Frank Gilmore of Graham.

Sue was the daughter of Milton Henry and Reva Agnes (Gann) Hitch. She attended Graham Schools and began her career working for the late Walter Padgett. Sue then worked for Marshall, King, and Hinson and many years with Jennings, Montgomery, and Dies. She was Executive Legal Assistant to Frank L. Jennings and finished her legal career with Elton M. Montgomery.
Sue married Charles Allen Herring on October 24, 1986. She was known and loved by many. She was always willing to give her time and energy to help others not asking anything in return.
Survivors at time of death included her husband, Charles Herring of Graham; three sons, Richard Gilmore of Graham, Johnny Gilmore of Possum Kingdom Lake, and David Gilmore of Peoria, Arizona; one sister, Emily Sams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and one brother, Gerry Dale Hitch of El Paso, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Evans and brother, Don Hitch.
