PETIT Richard "Pete", 67, of Noble, was born April 8, 1932, to Jim and Minnie Petit in Loving, Texas. Mr. Petit grew up in Archer City, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He had been a policeman in Midwest City for ten years and retired from the Joe Brown Trucking Company. He married Jo Francis Yarbrough in 1955. They had three children and later divorced. He married Becky Harmston Barker on March 3, 1988 and inherited four children. He loved fishing, gardening and traveling.
He loved his family and adored his "Sweet Thang," wife, Becky. Mr. Petit is survived by his wife, Becky; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Kim and her husband, Les of Bethany; daughter, Brenna Hunter of Oklahoma City; son, Michael Petit of Chickasha; son, Tony Barker and his wife, Angela of Riverton, Utah; daughter, Sara Smith and her husband, Doug of Oklahoma City; daughter, Katy Barker of Noble; son, Joshua Barker of Noble; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Petit; sisters, Pearl Calwell, Anna Mae Butler, Viola Rushing, Vera Harrelson, and Wilma Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Minnie Petit; brothers, Elmer Petit and Raymon Petit The family has suggested the American Lung Association as appropriate for memorial contributions. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 10 at Twelve Corners Baptist Church, 156th and Etowah Road, Noble.

MRS. L. R. KYLE DIES AT ELKHART
Mrs. L. Raymond Kyle, 51, of Elkhart, died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday at her home. Mrs. Kyle, the former Miss Charm Parker, was born in Elkhart on February 26, 1899.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Elkhart Baptist Church with the Reverend D. D. Sumrall and the Reverend G. H. Bailey officiating. Interment was in the Elkhart Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Odell Bennett, Eugene Bratz, Roy Parker, H. W. McIver, Homer Jenkins and Elbert Hortman.
Mrs. Kyle is survived by her husband, L. R. Kyle of Elkhart; one daughter, Mrs. Billy Hawthorne of Houston; one granddaughter, Miss Belinda Hawthorne of Houston; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben J. Parker of Elkhart; two brothers, Joe Bailey and Jack Parker, both of Elkhart; four sisters, Mrs. A. Y. McCracken of Palestine, Mrs. Estelle Paxton of Elkhart, Mrs. Lorene Hollingsworth and Miss Dale Parker, both of Corsicana.

Services for Vesta Self, 77, of Palestine, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Otis Felton and Clyde Self officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories in Elkhart.
Mrs. Self died this morning at Anderson County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Elkhart on Dec. 28, 1910, a daughter of Alex and Jennie Howell Glenn. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart and the Palestine Rebekah Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. L. Self, on Sept. 18, 1974.
Survivors include her sisters, Cora Fryar and Hattie Weatherford, both of Palestine; a brother, Vernon Glenn of San Antonio; and a niece.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be nephews and cousins.

Services for Cora Fryer, 99, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Michael Mynatt officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Fryer died early Thursday morning at Cartmell Home for the Aged.
She was born Feb. 25, 1903 in Elkhart to Alex Glenn and Jennie Howell Glenn.
Mrs. Fryer was a homemaker and a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church and the Rebecca Lodge. She was an American Red Cross Grey Lady.
she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fryer, in 1968; son, Clarence Fryar Jr.; sisters, Hattie Weatherford and Vesta Self; and brother, Vernon Glenn.
Mrs. Fryer is survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be accepted from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
