PITTSFIELD, Ill. Lawrence M. "Tom" Bradburn, 93, of Pittsfield died at 6 p.m. Friday (Dec. 1, 2006) in the Barry Community Care Center.
He was born on March 30, 1913, in Pike County, a son of Charles T. and Rosa Fenton Bradburn. He married June A. Ellis on June 18, 1938 in Pike County. She preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2001.
Mr. Bradburn worked for 42 years in the U.S. Post Office in Pittsfield and retired as a rural letter carrier. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two sons, Charles (Marilyn) of St. Louis, John (Ruth) of Elgin; one daughter, Janet (George) Hollenback of Chillicothe; a sister, Charlene (Kenneth) Bergman of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield. Pittsfield Lodge 790 A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic services at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday prior to services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pittsfield Lion's Club, American Heart Association, or Shriner's Hospital Fund St. Louis Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Bro. Eric Moore officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to be made to the Griggsville Estate Activity Fund, Pleasant Grove Cemetery or Detroit Christian Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Charlene R. Bergman, 90 of Pittsfield and a resident of Griggsville Estates passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Griggsville Estates. Charlene was born in Pittsfield, IL on October 25, 1922, a daughter of Charles T. and Rosa Fenton Bradburn. She married Kenneth Bergman on April 13, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Pittsfield and Kenneth preceded her in death on March 2, 2010.
Prior to her marriage Charlene worked at Brown Shoe Company in Pittsfield and in later years worked at SuperWay in the produce department, Ideal Hardware, and IGA as a sample lady promoting representative. Charlene was a graduate of Gen City Business College in Quincy. She was a member of the Detroit Christian Church and in earlier years attended the Detroit Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking, especially chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes which she enjoyed sharing with others. She enjoyed taking care of people.
Charlene is survived by a son, Steven Bergman of Greely, CO and three daughters, Judy (Charles) Duggins of New Berlin, IL; Jane (Tom) Moore of Longmont, CO; Sandy (Steve) Smothers of Pittsfield; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Tom Bradburn and sisters, Allyne Nelson and Pauline Feuerer.

Services for Mildred Kathryn Jones, 92, will be at 3 p.m. today at Harvey-Douglas chapel with the Rev. Wayne Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Crinerville Cemetery.
Kathryn was born to Elmer Ellsworth and Inez Elaine Besaw Martin on Oct. 3, 1914, in Akron, Ohio. She passed away on July 17, 2007, at a local health care facility. Kathryn's father passed away when she was 6 months old and her mother remarried Gerald Cleve King on Dec. 25, 1915. He loved Kathryn and raised her as his own.
At age 18, Kathryn moved to Oklahoma with her family where she met and married George Valton Jones on Nov. 20, 1932, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by parents; stepfather, Gerald King; son, Harvey Valton; two daughters, Mary Patton and Louise Patton; a son-in-law, George Warner Ferrell; a brother, LeRoy King; and sister, Thelma Hall.
Kathryn had lived in the Lone Grove area since she moved here. She loved to have family and friends over as much as she could. She liked playing cards with her family and also at the senior citizens center in Lone Grove, growing a garden, and watching her wild hog in the pasture.
She will be missed by all who knew her because she was a blessing from God.
She is survived by a son, Elmer Jones and his wife, Patsy, Lone Grove; a daughter, Mildred "Skeeter" Ferrell, Decatur, Ala.; three sisters, Burnice Baugh, Texas, Darleene Woods and Vivian Landers, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Bearers will be David Jones, Ronnie Jones, Marty Jones, Patrick Jones, Chris Jones, Corey Ferrell and Cody Jones.
