David J. Heaton, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, December 16, 1808, and with his parents moved to Butler County, Ohio. When ten years of age he lost his mother by death, and was then apprenticed to learn the cabinet trade in Maysville, Kentucky, and served seven years. After working for five years in different places, he located in Ripley, Ohio, and remained three years. He married Emily Donovan, of Augusta, Kentucky, July 31, 1832. They had seven children, three of whom are living: Mary Ann, Augusta C. and Elizabeth H. In the fall of 1834, Mr. Heaton went to Mississippi, and remained there until the spring of 1845, at which time he came to this city, and started a cabinet shop. St. Joseph at that time contained about three hundred inhabitants. He commenced here very poor, but immediately started a good business, but by the signing of a sheriff's bond had $3,000 to pay. In 1857, he lost a warehouse by fire, losing $6,000. He kept at work enlarging his business and was very successful. He was the first undertaker in the city, and continued in the business until 1881, when he sold out to his son, David E. He was the first City Marshal, and in 1858 and 1859 was elected City Councilman from the Third Ward, and was chairman of that body. In 1876, he commenced keeping a boarding house, and in 1877 he built additions to his house, and opened the Heaton House, on Sixth Street, now the St. James. Mr. Heaton has always been a Domocrat, but when the rebellion broke out he was a strong Union man and assisted in every way to do his duty as a loyal citizen. He has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church since 1839. In 1849, his wife died, and in 1851 he married Miss Lucinda King, of Boone County, Missouri. They had five children, four of whom are living: Laura, David E., Bell and Melsonia.

The funeral will be held Wednesda, November 20, 1933, at 9:30 a.m., from the Stockton Mortuary Chapel, California at Washington street, thence to St. Mary's Church where a reqiem high mass will be sung commencing at 10 o'clock for the repose of his soul. Entombment in the San Joaquin Cemetery Mausoleum, Friends and acquaintances invited to attend. Roseary Service will be held Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at the chapel.

Bio: Jackee Lou Ellen (Taylor) Ingo
Jackee Lou Ellen (Taylor) Ingo, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep, June 15th, 2021 at her son's home in Highland, UT.
Jackee was born November 24, 1931, in Wichita, Kansas, to Francis A Taylor and Inez Marie Filmore. Jackee lived in Wichita until her mother moved her to Chicago, Illinois, when she was three years old. As an only child, Jackee spent her childhood around adults which made her very precocious for her age. She loved to learn and she spent many hours reading in a favorite tree.
She lived in Chicago for 30 years. During that time, she married Dominic Ingo on November 16, 1963. Soon after her marriage they moved to southern California where they had three sons together.
Jackee had a strong work ethic. She worked in health care for much of her adult life. She had nursing certificates and licenses in California, Arkansas, Oklahoma, the Cherokee Nation, Florida, and Utah. While she enjoyed helping others, her greatest joy came from being a mother.
In 1971, Jackee was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a faithful member the rest of her life. She served in many callings, but she particularly enjoyed being a primary teacher, cub scout leader, and seminary teacher. She also served as a service missionary at the BYU Family History Center.
Self-reliance was very important to Jackee. She derived great satisfaction in mastering challenging skills. She learned how to process raw wool into yarn which she knitted into various articles. She was an accomplished china painter and created beautiful plates, cups and dolls. She was also very skilled in all things sewing. She loved to embroider and to make intricate bobbin lace and tatting. She enjoyed sharing her talents to whomever was interested in learning.
Jackee is survived by her three sons: Timothy (Angela), Terry (Teresa), and Dominic (Lisa). She is also survived by 14 of her grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and three of her five children from a previous marriage: Raymond Paul Bruhnke, Mary Anne Estrella, and Wade Taylor Bruhnke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic; her infant granddaughter, Savannah; her grandson, Tyler; and her son and daughter from a previous marriage, Raymond and Ellen Bruhnke.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Aspen Meadows 3rd ward building, (1150 East 1240 South, Spanish Fork, Utah), with a viewing at 12:00 pm.

William H. OWENS
OWENS, William H. Bill passed away November 21, 2016, at the age of 76. He was born to Chas and Ann Owens in Berkeley, CA. He was a long-time resident of Sonoma County, having come here as a child. After graduating from Healdsburg High School, he served in the US Air Force for four years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sue, daughters Shari Owens, Angela Daniels (Robert); Kelly Bellinghausen (Tim) and Phillip Hopkins (Tamiko). He was the beloved "Papa" of Taylor, Samantha, Andrea and James. He is survived by sisters, Betty Redding and Pat Merritt. Predeceased by his brothers, James, Robert and Charles. Bill and Sue had wonderful times with their family, loved RVing, travel, Corvette runs, landscaping and playing and entertaining on their property. He was, along with Sue, an active volunteer for the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and a proud brother of the Knghts of Columnbus. He spent most of his career involved in the auto body trade and retired from State Farm Insurance in 1999. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Windsor, with reception to follow at 5557 Fox Hunt Ln., Santa Rosa, CA. Bill will be laid to rest at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA, with full Military Honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to: UCSF Foundation, P.O. Passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in Santa Rosa, CA. Loving husband for over 58 years to Georgia L. Owens; loving father of Jack Owens, Chuck Owens and his wife Teresa, Robert Owens, and Shawna Owens. Beloved grandfather of four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brother of Bill Owens and his wife Sue, Charlie Owens and his wife Opal, Pat Merritt and her husband Herb and Betty Redding. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Albany, CA, age 80 years. A veteran of the Korean War and a truck driver for over 57 years. Bob loved fishing and camping and was honest, hardworking and someone that his family, friends and employer could always depend on. At Bob's request, no formal funeral service will be held.
