James 'Bubby" Orrick, 78, of Houston went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2013. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and for many years owned Orrick Machine Works. Mr. Orrick was preceded in death by parents, James and Willie Bell Orrick, his son, James Jimmy Orrick. Jr., his sisters, Frankie Freeman and Ola Lowery and brother-in-law Gene Holland. He was survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Orrick, his sister, Dorothy Joanna "Babe" Holland, his brother in law, Robert Freeman, daughters, Jan Hilley and husband, Tony ; Jackie Lavastida Clark and husband, Otis; and Julie Yanello and husband, Jerry; his sons, James Kaiser and wife, Ophelia, Dennis Kaiser and wife, Peggy, and son Gerald Kaiser; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013, with Reverend Russell Strimple officiating. interment to follow.

Bertie M. Parsons 1916 - 2009 WESTFIELD Bertie M. (Childress) Parsons, 92, entered into eternal rest on Wednes-day, January 28, 2009 in a local nursing home. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, she lived here for many years. She leaves her husband of fifty years, George H. Parsons, a daughter, Patsy J. Strom of Agawam, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Homer Orrick and James W. Orrick. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4 7 p.m.

Mary Margaret Orrick, 76, of Houston went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2014. She was a longtime member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Mary was a single mom until her sons were old enough to go to school. Then she went to work for Richmond Mfg. Co. where she met her true love, James S. Orrick. They married on September 17, 1977 and celebrated 36 years together until he went to his heavenly home on September 16, 2013, and Mary joined him on November 20, 2014.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Orrick; son, James (Jimmy) S. Orrick, Jr.; mother, Ivey Henry; father, Floyd Stephenson; sister, Martha Rae Pearson; and brother, Robert Stephenson. She is survived by her sons: James A. Kaiser & his wife Ophelia, Dennis D. Kaiser & his wife Peggy, Gerald D. Kaiser and his daughter Kerri; daughters: Jan Hilley & her husband Tony, Jackie Clark & her husband Otis, Julie Yanello & her husband Jerry; sisters: Elsie Bailes & her husband Floyd (deceased), Shirley Jo Peek & her husband Donald, and Sylvia Jean Bailes & her husband Raymond; brother: Kenneth Stephenson & his wife Carolyn; along with Mary's eleven grandchildren, eighteen greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
