Notes for Lonnie Ray MOONMOON, LONNIE RAY 72, died Aug. 5, 2010, at his resident in Mesquite. He was born in Dallas,
TX, on Mar. 2, 1938, to Robert Hulen Moon and Cora Lee Lybrand. He attended Dallas Public
Schools and served in the US. Army. He married Esta Faye Jordan on June 29, 1956. The couple
lived most of their married life in Mesquite. Lonnie was a truck driver with Mrs. Bairds Bread, AG
Af?liated Foods, Tex-Pax, Dallas Housewares, and several others. He was a member of Parkside
Baptist Church. Lonnie enjoyed woodworking and cooking and just driving around.
After he retired he would get up and say "Faye, get up and lets go somewhere." They would load up
their dogs and take off not knowing were they were going, drive for about two or three hours, stop
and eat lunch some where and then head back home by another route.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 54 years. Together they have 2 sons, Lonnie Ray (Kim) Moon, Jr. of
Mountain Grove, MO; Richard E. (Laurie) Moon of Rowlett, TX, and one daughter, Claudia Mae
(Lynn) Paugh of Mesquite; brothers, Bobby (Donna) Moon of Wolf City; James (Eva) Moon of New
Mexico; sisters, Mildred (Dub) Wammack of Dallas; Nancy (Robert) Apple of Greenville; brother-in-
law Bruce (Linda) Jordan of Prairie Hill; grandchildren; Brandy Moon; Mandy Moon; Amber Moon
(Eric) Mongan of Eugene, OR; Richard C. (Michelle) Moon of Washington D. C.; Thomas Jordan "T.
J." Moon of Rowlett, Amy (Jason) Russell of Mesquite; Stacee Paugh and Nathan Hicks of Mesquite,

2010 at Restland funeral home. Pallbearers are John Staton, Billy Chapman, Terry Summy, Billy
Monday, Slyvester Salazar and Wilber Roberts.

Funeral services for Lorine Woody, 84, of the Brushy Creek Community were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Brushy Creek Cemetery with Dr. Jack Shoultz officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mrs. Woody died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at her residence.
She was born February 23, 1915, in Anderson County, to Dr. Samuel Luther and Pearl Gambrell Morrow.
Mrs. Woody was a member of the Brushy Creek United Church and Harvey Women's Club.
She was retired from the East Texas National Bank after 28 years of service and had worked several years in real estate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thomas Woody, in 1976; a brother, J.P. Morrow; sisters, Mattie Velma Morrow and Lura Overton.
Mrs. Woody is survived by a daughter, Freddie LaVerne Herrington of Palestine; sons, Joe Mack Woody and Homer Clark Woody, both of Palestine; sisters, Minnie Lee Padgett of Tampa, Florida and Ruth King of Palestine; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 3800 Paluxy, Suite 560, Tyler, Texas 75703; or to the Brushy Creek Cemetery Fund, Rt. 3 Box 3244, Palestine, Texas 75801.
