Mr. Woody died Tuesday morning at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 10, 1935 in Anderson County to Fred Thomas and Lorine Morrow Woody.
Mr. Woody was a retired truck driver and rancher. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Woody is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rena Woody Roquemore and husband Frank Jr. of Palestine, Susan Woody Harris and husband Jeff of Elmwood; son, Sam Woody of Palestine; sister and brother-in-law, Freddie and Rush Herrington of Elmwood; breother and sister-in-law, Homer and Sue Woody of Palestine, grandchildren, Caleb Roquemore, Dustin Woody, Clay Woody, Tate Harris, Kasey Woody and Lacee Harris.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Roquemore, Dustin Woody, Clay Woody, Tate Harris, Frank Roquemore and Jeff Harris. Honoarary pallbearers will be Rush Herrington, Blue Fitzgerald and Bill Graves.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Grimsley
Funeral services for Oma L. Grimsley Sr., of Elkhart, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Church of Christ in Elkhart, with Rosten Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of Hassell and Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. Grimsley died Friday afternoon in Anderson County Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
He was born Sept. 14, 1911, the son of the late Garrett S. Grimsley and Fannie Hardy Grimsley. He was a retired farmer and carpenter, and a member of the church of Christ in Elkhart.
Survivors include wife, Mrs. Robbie K. Grimsley of Elkhart; two sons, O. L. Grimsley Jr. and Kermit Grimsley, both of Elkhart; two daughters, Mrs. Bennie Joe (Gail) McInnis of Big Spring; one sister, Mrs. G. L. (Olene) Peterson of Elkhart; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Joe McInnis, John Easley, Charlie B. Camp, Talmadge D. Greenwalt, Eddie Martin and W. A. Montgomery.
Remains will be at Hassell and Foster until carried to the church for services.
