Survivors include his wife Jessie Lovieda(Largent); two daughters, Linda Jean (Canada) Simpson and husband,Jim of Lakeside City and Vicki Carol (Canada) Keel and husband, Michael of Simi Valley, Calif.; two sons, Gary Lynn Canada and wife Marsie of Plano, Texas, and Phillip Marvin Canada of Archer City; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors are nephews, David Canada and Bennie Canada of Olney and three nieces, Laura Wooster, Pam Stegall, and Tina Hale.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, David Lynn Tate on March 1, 2008; and his brother Robert Canada on June 19, 1999.

Marvin Sherman Canada, age 81, of Archer City, Texas, passed away Saturday morning, July 2, 2011, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Scotte Clark, Minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ in Olney, Texas, officiating. A private interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery.
Mr. Canada was born August 10, 1929, in Jack County, Texas, to Ben and Lillie Petit Canada, and was a lifelong resident of Archer County.
He had worked in the oilfield throughout his life and he only had three different employers throughout his career, D.W. Gholson, W.L. Lindemann, and P.C. Burns. He retired in 1991 and spent much of his time camping and visiting with his grandchildren.
He and Jessie Largent were married January 19, 1948, in Archer City.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Linda Canada Simpson and her husband, Jim of Lakeside City, Texas, Vicki Keel and her husband, Michael of Simi Valley, California; two sons, Gary Canada and his wife, Marsie of Plano, Texas, and Phillip Canada of Archer City; eight grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two nephews, David Canada and Bennie Canada, both of Olney; and three nieces, Laura Wooster, Pam Stegall, and Tina Hale.

THOMAS Funeral for Gary Simpson, 61, Thomas, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas First Baptist Church with Jeff Brock, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Simpson died Monday, March 6, 2006.
Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, under direction of Lockstone Funeral Home, Thomas.
He was born Aug. 11, 1944 in Lawton to Joe and Ruth Stamper Simpson. He was raised in Lawton and married Sandra Parson-Gibson May 3, 1967 at Beal Heights Presbyterian Church. He attended Cameron University and Oklahoma State University and received a degree in agronomy. He taught in the Agriculture Department of the Hollis School System. They moved to Thomas and he was a soil and moisture conservationist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Watonga. He was also equipment manager for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Concho Fire Management Team. He attended Thomas First Baptist Church and was a member of the Oddfellows. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1971.
Survivors include his wife of the home; six sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas and Monica Gibson, Lubbock, Texas; Rick and Kathy Gibson, Fay; Jerry and Carrie Gibson, and Shawn and Misty Dawn, all of Thomas; James and Jennifer Gibson, Stonewall; and Mark and Jessica Simpson, Guntersville, Ala.; a daughter and son-in-law, Misty Simpson-Dumas and Casey, Woodward; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Evyonne Simpson, Destin, Fla.; and a sister, Joan Hailey, Destin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles Simpson.

Mrs. Edna M. Womack, 70, of Paradise, died March 19 in All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Church in Paradise. James Heflin, minister, presiding.
Pallbearers were Bert Smith, Bus Albritton, Pete Ferguson, Pete Read, Horton Burk, and Floyd Fuqua.
Survivors are two sons, Emmet A. of Fremont, California and Gilbert W. of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. Mozelle Frayer, Mrs. Nina Parter and Mrs. Fannie Walker, all of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Ira Goodger of Decatur, Raymond Goodger of Decatur, and Bob Bridges of Euless.
Interment was in Paradise Cemetery.
