She died on Sept 12, 2012 at The Plaza, where she had been a resident since she became ill in 2011. Gen married S. L. Bill Williams on Jan 3, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1992. Gen leaves behind one daughter, three grandchildren and scores of friends. Gen loved to work and enjoyed her jobs at Southwestern Bell Telephone, Texas Tech University, Time Motor Freight, Department of Public Safety and several local banks, most recently American State Bank where she worked until she became ill at age 92.

Elaine E. (Salo-LeRoy) Glavich,
WATSON Elaine Esther (Salo-LeRoy) Glavich, age 74, of 162 County Road SI, Watson, entered eternal life Wednesday morning, October 26, 2011, at home. Elaine was born in Ishpeming on February 22, 1937, a daughter of William and Ella (Kobie) Kytosaari, and was raised in Eagle Mills Location. In 1956, she married Walfred B. Salo and the couple built their first home, a log cabin, in Rumely on the family farm. With Walfred entering the army, the young couple raised their children, Tom, Vickie, and Dawn at various places around the country. In 1966, Elaine married Myles LeRoy and they settled in Skandia and welcomed a daughter, Julie. Elaine was employed at the St. Lukes School of Nursing before she and Myles purchased the Idle Time Bar in Skandia. Elaine performed bar tending duties and served as cook for the operation for several years. In 1984, Elaine married Gerald "G.G." Glavich and they resided in Negaunee while Elaine worked as a bartender at the Garden Room Restaurant in Marquette. Upon her retirement, she and Jerry moved to Rhinelander, Wisconsin in 1990 and following his death, Elaine moved to the Gwinn area in 1999. Elaine was well loved for her cooking and baking skills at home and at the bar. She possessed a pleasant personality, good humor, and always had a smile. One of her lifelong passions was dancing and, in later years, attending the senior dances. She was an avid reader, loved to watch old movies, was a Nintendo junkie, a sportswoman who enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling, and was known to make an occasional visit to the casino to keep the economy going. Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (Robert) Spitz of Elkton, FL and Julie (Michael) Burch of Gwinn; a son, Thomas (Sabine) Salo of Radcliff, KY; her grandchildren, Randy Salo, Christina (Jack) Salo-Burnett, Alaina Burch, Cory Roop, and Megan Ingoldsby; sisters, Patricia (Paul) Makela of Gwinn, Connie (Elvin) Porter of Mountain View, MO, and Cynthia (Earl) Caswell of Toledo, OH; her brothers, Lawrence (Louise) Kytasaari of Gwinn and Ronald (Carol) Kytasaari of Waukegan, IL; a sister-in-law, Carmie Kytosaari of Waukegan, IL; her special friend, Paul Van Damme of Watson; former husband, Myles LeRoy of Skandia; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by husbands, Walfred Salo and Gerald "G.G" Glavich; a daughter, Dawn Amelia Salo; and brother, William Kytosaari, Jr. Private family services will be held at the Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29, with Rev.
