John F. Brock, Sr., 78, of Wichita Falls died Thursday, February 4, 2010. John was born October 4, 1931 in Olney, TX to the late Raymond Brock and Dacy Stinnett Briggs. John was a retired mechanic from Control Equipment, Inc. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 1067 in Electra, TX. During the early years of his life, he loved camping, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He also enjoyed riding in the Hotter-n-Hell Hundred. He was a member of First Baptist Church. John will always be remembered as a hard worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Kenneth R. Brock in 1962 and Wendell O. Wilson in 2000 and a great granddaughter, Michaela Hoff in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Inez of Wichita Falls; three sons, John Brock, Jr. (Bo) of Wichita Falls, Zeke Brock and wife Robin of Fort Worth, Barney Brock and wife Karen of Henrietta; one daughter, Peggy Gillen and husband Larry of Wichita Falls as well as eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Crestview Memorial Park. In case of inclement weather, the service will be at Hampton Vaughan Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Services will be officiated by John Brock, Jr. and Pastor George B. Davis. Visitation will be from 3:00 4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
