Graveside services for Faye Bennett Wilcher, 86, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the Afton Cemetery in Afton under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home of Matador.
Mrs. Wilcher passed away early Thursday, June 2, at the Manna Acres Care Center.
Faye was born Aug. 29, 1918 in Lubbock to James and Erie Hutson Robinson. She was raised in Wichita Falls and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. She was a grade school teacher for the Patton Springs School District with over 25 years of service. Faye married Ralph Bennett in 1942. They made their home in North Dickens County, where they farmed, ranched and raised their children. Ralph preceded her in death in 1974. She later married Harding Wilcher in 1975 and they made their home in Possum Kingdom Lake for 20 years. Mr. Harding preceded her in death in 1977. She had been a resident of Lubbock for the past 10 years. Mrs. Wilcher was an active member of the Midway Baptist Church near Afton and l ater the Graford Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and played the piano. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack, in 1984.
Survivors Include a son, Jimmy Bennett and wife Sandra of Ballinger; a daughter, Cheryl Brummett and husband Craig of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Bo Bennett, Buffi Awtry, Stuart and Nathan Brummett, and Rebekah Kerby; and five great-grandchildren.

Pearl S. Weatherford
Services for Pearl S. Weatherford, 77, of Deer Park, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel with Melvin Newman officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories in Elkhart.
Mrs. Weatherford died Thursday in Hermann Hospital in Houston.
She was born Oct. 30, 1910, in Grapeland, a daughter of Frank and Allie Salmon. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. Weatherford Jr., in 1968.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Gholson of Houston; a son, Max Weatherford of Deer Park; two sister, five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received form 7:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services for William Albert Weatherford, Jr., 69, of Houston who died Friday will be held at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church, Elkhart. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray Mathis, and burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart.
Mr. Weatherford was born July 3, 1899 in Anderson County, son of the late W. A. Weatherford, Sr. and Mrs. Ollie Dupuy Weatherford; and died at 7 a.m. in a Houston hospital, after a lingering illness. For the past several years he was employed as a nurseryman in Houston.
Pallbearers will be deacons of the First Baptist Church of Elkhart.
Survivors include one son, Max Weatherford of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Sue Gholson of Houston' one brother, John D. Weatherford of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Cora Sue Whitley of Baytown; four grandchildren.
The body will be at Hassell & Foster until carried to the church for services.
