"Services Held for Mrs. Cashion
"Mrs. Velma B. Cashion, a 40-year resident of Houston, died Saturday, February 27, at the age of 71. She was a member of Collins Memorial Methodist Church and a retired employee of Singer Company.
"Mrs. Cashion is survived by a daughter, Mrs. (Leroy) Annie Ruth Lyth of Katy; a son, James Roland Cashion, LaMarque; two sisters, three brothers; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
"Funeral services were held Monday morning at ten o'clock in the Pat H. Foley Chapel of the Roses. Interment was in Forest Park Westheimer."

Marlow - HELEN LOUISE TULLOUS LADD DAVIS, 89, of Marlow, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Duncan.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan with the Rev. Ellis Heffington officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Helen was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Lawton, to Dee and Aurora Irene Fincher Tullous. She graduated from Central High School. Helen lived in the Central High community for most of her life.
She married Dalton Ladd on Oct. 29, 1941, in Walters. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Woodrow G. Davis on Sept. 2, 1971, in Marlow. He preceded her in death July 14, 2003.
Helen was a cook at Central High School. She was a good mother and wonderful grandmother. Helen enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Ladd and wife Myra of Marlow; a daughter, Judy Graham and husband Glenn of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Clopton; and three brothers, Jack Tullous, Wayne Tullous and Randall Tullous.

Our beloved Zelda Ann Williams, wife and mother, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, after a long illness. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Chapel, followed by a reception with the family in the Garden Reception Center. Interment: 10:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park; friends are cordially invited to join the family. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Zelda was born May 24, 1932, in Lamesa. She graduated from Lamesa High School and received a bachelor of science in education with minors in English and art from Hardin-Simmons University in 1953. While attending HSU, she was a member of The Cowgirls organization. In 1954, Zelda married Rodney Williams, whom she met at HSU. She taught elementary school in Lamesa, Seminole, Hobbs, N.M., Midland, Abilene and Fort Worth before joining Rodney in business. They have lived in Fort Worth since 1968 and are members of Broadway Baptist Church. Zelda had resided at Renaissance Park for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nora Kelley; and brother, Doyle Kelley. Survivors: Husband, Rodney; sons, David (Kenton Kravig) and Michael (Laura); grandchildren, Courtney, Nichole and Brian; sister, Billie Baird; and a loving family of nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.

IRVING - Kay Baird, 72, died Friday, April 23, 2004.
Graveside services were at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless. Memorial services were Monday in Grapevine. Arrangements were by Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Baird was born Jan. 17, 1932, at St. Louis. He graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Texas Tech University. He was one of the founders of the Texas Tech Chapter of Phi Delta Theta. He and his wife, Billie J. Kelley Baird, were married 49 years.
Kay was a pioneer and leader in the financial services industry for more than 45 years. Kay graduated in the first class of certified financial planners from the College for Financial Planning in Denver. Among his other achievements, he served for seven years with the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP) as director, secretary, vice president, president and chairman of the board. His leadership directly caused the association to set plans and procedures for future growth and to continue the tradition of excellence for over 10,500 members at that time.
From 1974 to 1977, Mr. Baird served on the board of directors and as national sales manager for Financial Service Corporation. In 1982, Kay chaired the first World Congress of Financial Planning in Monte Carlo that was attended by over 400 financial planners from 17 different countries. From 1982 to 1990, Mr. Baird served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Source International, a company with 450 financial planners located in 30 states.
Later, he was a director of financial planning for employees of a Fortune 500 company. A former member of Lions International and an ordained deacon, he had been the national president of the International Association of Financial Planners. He was a member of Fellowship Church in Grapevine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard; and a son-in-law, John Curry.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pam Curry and Paula Tsioumas and her husband, Kostas, all of Flower Mound; a son, Rick Baird and wife, Karen, of Flower Mound; a brother, Robert Baird and wife, Ann, of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Kelley, Ashley, Kayla, Dimitri, Billy, Sotiris, Lance, Madison and Jagger; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Inez Kelley of Houston and Rodney and Zelda Williams of Fort Worth.
