He was born Dec. 27, 1926 in San Bernardino, California to Auburn A. Howell and Florence Ward. He attended school in Idaho, graduating from Idaho State University. He also graduated and received a degree in Business from Woodbury Business College in Los Angeles, California. He married Barbara Whitehead on September 22, 1951 in Pocatello, Idaho and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. He worked 35 years for Farmers Insurance Company and was Director of Internal auditing for the Home Office in Los Angeles, California at the time of his retirement. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in almost every capacity. He also served three missions and served as an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple. He was devoted to his family, a true friend, loved sports, learning, traveling and life.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Whitehead), three sons, Clayton, Gregory (Elizabeth), Kevin (Dorinda), and two daughters Lesa and Sandra; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandsons; also two brothers, Robert Howell and William Howell of Boise, Idaho.
Funeral Services will be held at the Highland LDS Ward Building, 11605 North 6000 West, Highland, Utah on Wednesday, August 13, at 12 noon with viewing on Tues. from 7-8:30 p.m. at same address and on Wednesday from 10:30-11:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Highland City Cemetery.

Jane Anne Stinnett, 72, of Lubbock died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lubbock following a long battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Portales to Marion and Elizabeth Stinnett. She graduated from Portales High School and received a bachelors degree in business administration from the University of New Mexico.
She was a longtime political activist and cotton merchant, forming Stinnett Enterprises, a cotton marketing firm and JGG, Inc., an investment company.
She served on several cotton and agriculture boards and advisory committees, including as the first female president of the Texas Cotton Association. She also Served on a number of city, county state and regional boards and commissions.
She was a partner in Pecos Publishing, Inc., owners of the De Baca County News and the Clovis Livestock Market News. She was later a partner in Triple S Publishing, Inc., the former owner of the Muleshoe Journal.
She helped coordinate a number of campaigns for local, county and state offices.
She served as regional chair for the Bush-Quayle presidential campaigns in 1988 and 1992 and for the George W. Bush for Texas Governor campaign. She was a regional chair for the George W. Bush for President campaign in Texas and was the senior campaign advisor to the Randy Neugebauer for Congress campaign from 2002 to the present.
She survived by a brother, Marshall Stinnett (and wife ,Helen) of Portales and a number of nephews and nieces.
The Rev. Jay Horton officiate services.
A graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m. (MDT) at the Portales.

Longtime Lubbock political activist and cotton merchant Jane Anne Stinnett, 71 died Tuesday. Oct. 11, 2005, at University Medical Center, following a long battle with cancer.
Services will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 14, at the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock with the Rev. Jay Horton officiating. A graveside service will follow at 4:30 p.m. (CDT) at the Portales, N.M. Cemetery. where she will be buried next to her parents.
She was born Oct. 6, 1933 in Portales, N.M. to the home of Marion and Elizabeth Stinnett. Her family was in the newspaper business and as a youth, Jane Anne delivered newspapers, worked in the circulation department and worked in various other jobs for the Portales Daily News. In a newspaper family, she was exposed early on to politics at the local and state levels. She developed an interest in the political arena that would eventually lead her to become a respected political consultant and advisor.
She graduated from Portales High School and received a bachelors degree in business administration from the University of New Mexico. She moved to Dallas to work for a cotton merchant and in 1958 came to Lubbock to work for R.S. Tapp in the cotton business. She became the chief executive officer and chief financial officer at R.S. Tapp and Company in 1989, serving until 1992. She formed Stinnett Enterprises, a cotton-marketing firm, later that year and continued as president and CEO through 2000. She formed JGG, Inc., an investment company in 2001 and remained as its president and CEO until her death.
Jane Anne was a member of the Texas Cotton Association Board of Directors from 1984 to 1995, serving as the organization's first female president in 1994. she was a director of the American Cotton Shippers Association from 1 990 to 1995, and was a merchant delegate to the National Cotton Council from 1991-1996. She has served as a director of the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority since 1996. including a term as chair. She served on the USDA's Agricultural Advisory Committee on Cotton Marketing from 1991 to 1993 and on Universal Cotton Standards in 1998.
Jane Anne was a longtime member of the Market Lubbock, Inc. board of directors and served from 1996 to 2003 as a member of the Board of Managers for University Medical Center, serving a term as chair. She served on the Governors Economic Task Force in 2002 and had served on the board of the American Museum of Agriculture since 2001. She also served on a number of city. county, state and regional boards and commissions.
Jane Anne's newspaper roots led her back into the publishing business in 1992 when she became a partner in Pecos Publishing, inc., owners of the De Baca County News and the Clovis Livestock Market News in New Mexico. She was later a partner in Triple S Publishing, inc., the former owner of the Muleshoe Journal.
Other business interests included her partnership in Southwest Research Associates. a polling and research firm that published the "Pulse of America Poll," which was highly regarded during the administration of President George H.W. Bush from 1988 to 1992.
Her interest in politics hit high gear in 1978 when she got to know George W. Bush and his wife Laura during his campaign to represent the Lubbock area in Congress. She helped coordinate a number of campaigns for local, county and state offices and in 1984 managed Larry Combest's first campaign to become the first Republican to hold the District 19 Congressional seat, as well as his four subsequent re-election campaigns. She served as regional chair for the BushQuayle presidential campaigns in 1 988 and 1992 and for the George W. Bush for Texas Governor campaign. She was a regional chair for the George W. Bush for President campaign in Texas and was the senior campaign advisor to the Randy Neugebauer for Congress campaign from 2002 to the present. Jane Anne is survived by one brother. Marshall Stinnett and his wife Helen of Portales. NM; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Arba Stinnett's thirty years of experience has included numerous projects in health care and master planning in addition to other public and institutional projects in California and throughout the United States. Medical project experience includes programming, planning, design, construction administration and project management in the full range of medical offices, medical ancillary departments, nursing units and support services. Since founding TSG in 1985, Mr. Stinnett has completed health care related projects for UC/San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente, Camino Healthcare, California Pacific Medical Center, Sutter Health, and the Department of Defense.
