LIVINGSTON Funeral services for Charlcie Ruth Tipton, 89, were held Wednesday, June 22, 2005, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Borden officiating.
Burial followed in Bluff Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Tipton died Sunday, June 19, at her residence in Livingston.
She was born March 22, 1916 in Etoile, the daughter of William C. and Leecy Mae Crawford Sowell.
She went to school in Etoile, later moving to Onalaska where she met the love of her life, Robert W. Tipton. They married on Sept. 25, 1933 in Staley. They later moved to Livingston. Mr. and Mrs. Tipton had four children, working hard to make sure they had everything they needed. Mrs. Tipton worked at Kerr's, Foxy Fashion, Ruth's Apparels and Wiggins Land Co. Mr. and Mrs. Tipton loved their church and were members of First Assembly of God in Livingston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wilburn Tipton; brothers, George Sowell, Maurice Sowell and W.C. Sowell; sister, Syble Durham and grand-children, Steve McDonald and Mike McDonald.
Survivors include her son, Arelee Tipton of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Carol Tipton of Livingston; daughter, Leecy Wiggins of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Bobby Clifton of Houston; grandchildren, Jimmy and Kathy McDonald, Robert and Tammy Wiggins, Sheild and Chris Edmonson, Bryon and Eva Wiggins, Cheryl and Ronnie Householder, Louis and Chari Clifton, Tammy and Daryl Piazza, Charles and Beverly Clifton Jr. and Marshall and Nicole Wiggins; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Conard and Ann Sowell; sister, Bonnie Wiggins and sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Rex Munson and Betty and James Stanley.
Pallbearers were Robert Wiggins, Bryon Wiggins, Louis Clifton, Charles Tipton Jr., Marshall Wiggins and Terry Jordan.

James H. Riffle, 88, of Commerce passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, in Commerce.
James was born December 21, 1923, in Ward, AR, to Lillie Mae Lyons and John Daniel Boone Riffle. On May 14, 1954, he married Lillian Fulfer in Commerce. He was a self-employed mechanic.
He was a WWII United States Marine Corps veteran.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian Riffle; his daughter, Rhonda Riffle; his brother, Carl Riffle; and his sister, Ida Wallace.
Survivors include his three sons: Ronny L. Miller of Rusk, James D (Dougy) Riffle of Commerce, and John T. Riffle of Commerce; his daughter, Joyce E. Garza of Honey Grove; 7 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; and, 6 great granddaughters.
Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel at 2:30 p.m.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Duke, David Ketner, Jose Pilar Larios, Lisho Ramirez, Clifford Horton, Jeffery Benson, Jeff White and Grant Crowell.

Mrs. Des Hausenfluck, 82, of Cleburne passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Ft. worth. She was born January 16, 1931 in Denton County to John Vernon and Lottie Hammons Shelton. She married R. L. Hausenfluck on July 23, 1948 in Ft. Worth and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2001.
Mrs. Hausenfluck worked as a bookkeeper and was very active in delivering Meals on Wheels for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Kerry Bailey; four grand children; four step grand children; 13 great grand children; four great-great grand children; two sisters, Trudy Lyon and Bun Morgan; brother, Jim Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bradley Alan Hausenfluck in 1981 and five brothers, Waymon, Ken, Floyd, Lloyd and Dick Shelton.
Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2013 in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
