"Leland H. Martin was born in Runnels County on January 9, 1929, to Wallace E. and Mattie P. Martin. As a child he moved to Coleman County where he grew up in the Brown Ranch Community. He graduated from Mozelle High School in 1946. He married Dorothy Lee Dalton in Coleman on June 15, 1946. He served many years as a Sunday school teacher, department director and Sunday school superintendent. He served over 50 years as a ordained deacon at Harmony Baptist Church in Fisk, Melwood Baptist Church and Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood where he was currently a member.
"Leland was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Lee Dalton, and baby daughter, Claudia Darlene Martin. Also, sister Stella Moore and brothers, Fred Martin and J.M. Martin.
"He lived in south Coleman County where he and his brother-in-law, T.J. Dalton, Jr., operated the Dalton Dairy. In 1969 he began in the cattle mineral business in Brownwood, moving there in 1974. He later owned and operated L&M Mineral Company.
"He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Gary McConaughey of Spring, Brenda and Randy Yancy of Huntsville, and Marcia Jill and Bill Wells of Brownwood; granddaughters and husbands, Kandra and Jason Foster and Tanna and Matt Lawson, all of Spring; grandsons, Kirk McConaughey of Houston and Calvin and JoAnn Wells of Stephenville; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Miles, Kamryn and Blayne Foster of Spring; one sister, Winnie Pearl Nelson of Brownwood; four brothers, Herbert Martin of Brownwood, Curtis Martin of Abilene, Billy Joe Martin of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Roneal Martin of West Palm Beach, Florida; two brothers-in-law, N.T. Dalton of Chaney, Washington, and Billy Jack Deal of Coleman.
"In 1992 he married Maxine Oleta Smith in Brownwood where they made their home and owned a rental business. With this union he gained more family, including Rick and wife Linda Smith of Austin, Karen Duncan of Arlington and Val and husband, David Fine of Dublin; grandchildren, Lisa Simek of Austin, David and wife Stacy Smith of Austin, Regan Duncan and Drew Duncan of Arlington, Mark and wife, Amanda Fine of Denton and Matt and wife Bobbi Fine of Dalhart; great- grandchildren, Reese and Will Simek, Riley Smith, Sydney Judd, Trinity Fine, and Brice, Brayden, Tadd and Titon Fine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
"Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with brother Bill Allen and Brother Rick Cavitt officiating. Interment was in the Brown Ranch Cemetery, Coleman County.

She married Aloysius Grunloh in 1943 in New York and is survived by son, Robert Grunloh and daughter-in-law Deborah Grunloh; and by daughter, Julie Harrell and son-in-law Don Harrell.
She married Stanley Durbin in 1961 and is survived by son, Bradley Durbin.
Graveside services will be Friday, November 21, 2014, at 12:00 noon at East Lawn Cemetery, with a reception afterward.

Judy Helen Lewis, 66, of Staton Place, Acworth, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011
Mrs. Lewis was born June 10, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late. E.A. Grunloh and Alma J. Van Wie Grunloh, was employed for many years at WalMart and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her four daughters and three son in laws, Helen and Steve Hankinson of Cartersville, Christine Ward of Acworth, Paula Lewis and Anthony of Acworth, Misty and William Martin of Tucker, nine grandchildren; Ashley and Ian Hankinson, April Foster, Bruce Roeder, Edgar Bond, Jimmy and Vivian Ergle, Jason Sammis and Christine Williams and one great grandchild, Will Foster.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:007:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

She enjoyed time with her family and caring for others. Her sweet and genuine spirit will be missed by all of those who were blessed to cross her path. She was married to J.B Gage (Deceased). Together they had two daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Elmer Conrad, and John Terrell, her husband of four years. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Marilyn Sue Crenshaw and her husband Jerry and Elaine Keesee and her husband Jim; step-daughter, Debra Bell her husband Stacy; stepsons, Arlin Terrell and Alan Terrell and wife Debbie; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great granddaughters, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Lynn Nelson, 44, Clinton businessman were held Monday, Sept. 29, 1997 in the First Church of God, officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs and burial concluded in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. Robert Lynn "Bob" Nelson, Sr., was born October 13, 1952 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Lonnie L. and Alice Ruth (Devore) Nelson and passed away very unexpectedly Thursday night, Sept. 25, in the Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. Bob was raised in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1970. He ran an Iron yard and worked for the Medicine Lodge Police Department before moving to Clinton 1980. He owned and operated a used car lot and he has also operated Nelsons Iron Yard since his parents retirement in 1990. He was an avid race car fan and driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Nelson. He is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Alice Nelson, Clinton, a daughter, Kelly Jo Metheny, Clinton and two sons, Robert Nelson, Jr., Clinton and Matthew A. Nelson, Arapaho and his sister, Linda Nelson, Burrton, KS and one granddaughter, Alison Paige Nelson. He is also survived by his former sister-in-law, Sue Nelson-McKinney, Clinton and his nieces and nephews, Alicia Nelson, Armarillo, TX; Genie Guggee, Wichita, KS; Loni Nelson; Clinton and Deelon Nelson, Amarillo, TX. A Memorial Fund is being set up at the Local Federal Bank in Robert Nelson's name.

He is survived by his daughters, Carylon (John) White of Bloomington, Sharon (Clayton) Pilzner of Placedo, Patricia (Roger) Owen of Olivia, and Pam (Danny) Jeter of Seadrift; a son, Larry Odell of Seadrift; a brother, Ray Odell of Lindsay, Okla.; 22 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Wilber was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Odell; a daughter, Joye Lambright; a son, David Odell; two sisters, two brothers, one granddaughter, two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation was at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Seadrift with Gerry Wiley officiating. Burial followed at Seadrift Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Lambright, Joe White, Bob Thompson, Robert Thompson, Adam Amazon and Corey Volner. An honorary pallbearer was Jeremey White.
Grace Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
