HASLET - Glenn "Harold" Stinnett, 80, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, in Haslet.
Funeral: was 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial: Evergreen East Cemetery in El Paso.
Glenn was born to Robert Stinnett and Zoda Perry Stinnett on April 2, 1925, in Amarillo. Harold grew up in Roswell, N.M., and joined the U.S. Navy in 1942, spending three years as a machinist's mate first class in Pearl Harbor.
After the war ended, Harold attended the University of New Mexico and graduated with a BBS. Harold met the love of his life, Marky Snyman, while in college and they were married in 1947. In 1950, Harold and Marky moved to El Paso, where he worked 35 years as a credit manager in the garment industry. The remainder of his career he was vice -president for Montwood Bank Corp.

Dorothy L. Pirkle, 76, was born July 23, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas, and passed away October 9, 2003 in Houston. She was escorted by a band of angels to her Heavenly mansion. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and a devoted Christian that loved the Lord, Dorothy's strong faith and positive attitude was evident in her life. Survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, John; daughter, Billie Federman and husband, Barry; son, John C. Pirkle, Jr. and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Marcus and Natalie Fedreman and Hannah and James Pirkle. Visitation, 6-8pm Monday, October 13, 2003 at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Houston National Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 1:30pm. Interment to follow in Houston National Cemetery.

JOHN COMER PIRKLE, SR., 85 years, went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2005. He was born in Elgin, OK on April 12,1920 to parents Jeff and Sally Pirkle. His beloved wife, Dorothy Louise Pirkle of 56 years, preceded him in death in 2003. Survivors include his son, John C. Pirkle, Jr. and wife Debbie; daughter, Billie G. Federman and husband Barry; and grandchildren, Hannah and James Pirkle and Marcus and Natalie Federman. John, a U.S. Army Veteran, attained the rank of Sgt. Maj. He participated in the battles of the Normandy Invasion as well as The Battle of the Bulge under General Patton. After he completed his time in U.S. Army, John met and married the love of his life , Dorothy. John and Dorothy were missionaries in Jamaica West Indies in the 1950's. Later, he worked as an independent landman by profession. John was also a proud member of Wilcrest Baptist Church. He always loved to share his life through his stories and always had a good story to tell. PLEASE NOTE.........
