Roy Nathaniel Chester Sr. 1911-2004 Roy Nathaniel Chester, 93 of Council Hill, died Tuesday, Augusr 3, 2004 in Muskogee. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004 at Smith Funeral Home in Checotah officiated by Rev. Tim Turner. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula, under the direction on Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Chester was born in Latimer county, ok. May 15, 1911 to John and Mary Eudora [Ray]Chester. He was united in marriage to Ophelia Pittman, Aug. 24 1941 at Eufaula, OK. He was a farmer and had farmed sine he was old enough to work.He was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ophelia of the home, one son Roy Chester Jr. and his wife Barbara of Council Hill, Wannda Smith and her husband Ement Lowhorn of checotah, Bonnie Cole of Council Hill,seven grandchildren, Penny Smith of Muskogee, Gary Smith and wife Crystel, Robert Smith and wife Wrendy all of Porum, Brenda Cockran and husband Curtis of Westville, Ray Cole and wife Kimberly, Mary Mikel and Eldon Dean, all of Council Hill, twenty one great grandchildren, and two gggrandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents, three brothers, Vernon, Orestus, and Willie Lewis " Bill" Chester, three sisters, Ollie Chester, Annie Battles and Katy Alexander. Pallbears will be Joe Creekbaum Butch Goad, Donald Voight, Larry and Evert Staton and Glen Sullivan.

Ophelia [ Pitman] Chester 96 of Council Hill, OK was born Oct. 17, 1911 to James Walter and Cherry Belle [Chook] Mooneyham Pitman in Stidham, OK. She passed away Monday July 14, 2008 at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elm Grove Babtist Church of Council Hill.
Ophelia was united in marriage to Roy Nathaniel Chester in Eufaula, OK on Aug. 24, 1941.
She was preceaded in death by her parents, husband Roy Chester, on Aug 1, 2004, three sisters, Ruth Bertholf, Maxine Smith, and Norma Jean Morrison, two sons-in-law, Gene Lee Smith, and Gerald Glen Cole, and one daughter-in-law Barbara Sue [LaRue] Chester.
She is survived by her three children, Roy N. Chester of Council Hill, Wanda Louise Smith of Checotah, and Bonnie Kay Cole of Council Hill. Seven grandchildren, Twenty great grand children, and Eight great great grandchildren. One brother Willard Pitman, Three sisters Ruby Rains, Bonnie Sever, and Lois Humphrey and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2;00 pm at the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Turner officiating. Interrment will follow in Greenwood cementry, Eufaula, OK with grandsons and great grandsons as casket bearers.

SURPRISE VALLEY PIONEER PASSES
ANDREW NEASHAM PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT AT 10:00 P.M.
Andrew Frederick Neasham passed away at his home in Cedarville last night, July 19th at 10:00 after an illness of several months duration and had been bedfast for the past three weeks.
He is a member of Ocheo Lodge, No. 100, K. of P., of this place.
He was born at Neasham Hill, near Fort Bidwell, Cal., May 27, 1873, and has been a resident of this valley practically all of his life.
He is survived by his wife and several children to whom the deepest sympathy is extended in their hour of trail and sorrow.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the M. E. Church.
