Avery married his childhood sweetheart, Moda Mae Tuckness, in 1912 in Mason County, Texas and they migrated north to the Lamesa area of Dawson County, Texas where they settled in and raised their family. He farmed until his death on May 28,1944. He was buried in the Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas on May 30, 1944. His widow, Moda, remarried and lived to one hundred years of age. She and Avery rest in adjacent graves and share a common headstone.
* According to a letter written by Mattie Ellen Cates, eight of the ten children born to Tom and Matilda Cates "lived to be grown". Francis Stanford may have been the child of one of Wm. Thomas' brothers. Any documented information about this family would be very welcome.

Beverly Jane German and Stanley Marvin Boggs were married October 1, 1949 at the Grace Baptist Church in Chico, California. They had four children. Their seven year old daughter Cheryl Anne Boggs died in 1958 of leukemia. The three surviving children are David, Michael and Sandra.

Stanley Marvin Boggs (1929 - 2012)
Stanley Marvin Boggs was born in Chico, California, on October 11, 1929, to William Everett and Madge Richardson and died on May 19, 2012, in Chico, California. He was 82. He was married to Beverly Jane German for 61 years. She preceded him in death less than a year ago. Together they had three children, twelve grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Richard Boggs; sons, David and Mike; and daughter, Sandra.
Stanley served in the Naval Reserves from 1947-1955 and was very proud of his family members who served their country in the military. He was a long-time employee of the telephone company and stayed close with his coworkers after retirement.
Stanley was a father first and a teacher second. throughout his lifetime, he has taught many people how to hunt and fish. He was respected as the "go to guy" by his family and friends. He was an avid rifle hunter and bow hunter and traveled to many different states to hunt large game and try different fishing holes. Stanley created many special memories for his family and friends telling stories, sitting at dinner in his trailer or around a campfire at a favorite camp. He was very interested in his family's genealogy and this passion took him and Beverly l over the United States doing research.
He taught his children and many of his grandchildren how to drive a car and also how to work on those cars. He was quick to offer assistance no matter the task or the situation. He was kind and loving and always had PopTarts in his cupboard for his grandchildren.
A memorial service for Stanley will be on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chico Bible Fellowship at Arbutus and 5th Avenue in Chico.

BEVERLY JANE BOGGS
Beverly Jane (German) Boggs left to be with our Lord on Memorial Day, Sunday, May 30, 2011, at 78 years old.
A beloved mother of four children, grandmother to twelve, and great-grandmother to eighteen, she was a true matriarch of her family. More than anything, Beverly loved having her family gather at favorite camping spots - especially Eagle Lake, where she spent her summers fishing, and Montana, where she spent early fall hunting elk and deer. Beverly worked for Continental Nut Company for a few years and retired early from Diamond Match Company after 10 years, which gave her lots of opportunity to take her children and grandchildren on many adventures. She will be greatly missed by many friends and her family, but she has given them a lifetime of wonderful memories.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Stanley Boggs; sons, David and Mike; daughter, Sandra; sisters, Helen Gilbertson, Arlene Wemple, and Bonnie Torreson; brothers, Jud German and Floyd German, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first daughter, Cheryl. She was very involved with her family's lives and never forgot a birthday. She was proud of all her family members and their accomplishments and she made it a priority to attend all of their events.
A memorial service for Beverly will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Chico Bible Fellowship Church in Chico.

Notes for Benita Ann LUNSFORDSNELLVILLE Benita Miller Benita Lunsford Miller, 79, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, in Snellville. Benita was born in Elkhart, TX on October 16, 1934 to W.A. and Ida Lunsford. She was very artistic and creative and was a good wife to her husband, a good mother to her children and a good grandmother to her grandchildren. Benita was known for her love of Christ and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her son Steven Miller. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert E. Miller, Sr. of Snellville, daughters Robin Annette Hutson and husband Harry of Suwanee, Sandra Kay Kinkead of Grayson, JoAnn Medlock and husband Marlon of Grayson and Kathleen Miller of Michigan, sons Robert Miller, Jr. and wife Joslyn of East Lansing, MI and John Kinkead and wife Molly of Flowery Branch, brother Gene Lunsford of Texas, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and her cats Rosie Greer and Alice.
