78 Gather For Family Reunion

Seventy-eight members of the Howell and Chapman families gathered in Mooney Grove Sunday for a family reunion and picnic, The group represented the families of Pearl Chapman and Levi Samuel Howell, who were united in marriage on July 16, 1905. The couple moved to the Visalia area in 1937. Mr. Howell died on Feb. 8, 1941, and Mrs. Howell celebrated her 81st birthday on July 23 this year. She resides at 1205.N. Rinaldi, FOUR GENERATIONS were represented at the reunion. Those attending were Mrs. Howell; Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Stinnett of Sonora; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hudson and five children of Oceano; Mr. and Mrs. John Stinnett and three sons of Cloverdale; Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Owens and four sons of Healdsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Weir and four children of Fresno; Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Stinnett and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Doty and three daughters of Lucerne Valley; Mrs. Opal Howell of Turlock; Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Johnson and four children of Sonora. Mr. and Mrs. Darvin Howell and four children of Lucerne Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Taylor and two sons of Turlock; Mr. and Mrs. S. 0. Howell and four children of San Jose; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Detherow and three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Reeves and son Michael, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jordan and sons, Ricky and Clayton, all of Visalia. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jones and daughters, Joyce and Bobbie} June, of Exeter; Chapman McMahan of Concord; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Harris of Bakersfield; and Larry lkerd and Janet Reeves of Visalia.
